We Stand With Sam Heughan
We at The Rankin Effect were heartbroken to see Sam Heughan’s post on social media today detailing the bullying he and his family and friends have endured over the past six years from certain members of the Outlander fandom. We do not condone bullying in any form of anyone be it an actor, a crew member, the friends and family of those involved in the show, or an individual member of the fandom. Sam Heughan has given so much in his role as Jamie Fraser in Outlander, he has supported many charities and been gracious and warm to the fans he has met. Being part of a fandom should be a joyful escape, particularly during difficult times. Hate should have no place in a fandom. Actors are people just like you and me, and they deserve to be treated with respect like any other human being. The Rankin Effect is about spreading fun and positivity not bullying and hate. #WeStandWithSam Always!
